Key Dates to Know
Marketplace / ACA Enrollment Periods
You can only enroll in or change a Marketplace plan during specific windows. Missing these dates may mean waiting until the next period — so mark your calendar.
Open Enrollment (OEP)
Nov 1 – Jan 15. The main annual window to enroll, renew, or change your plan. Enroll by Dec 15 for Jan 1 coverage; enroll Dec 16 to Jan 15 for Feb 1 coverage.
New Jersey (Get Covered NJ)
Nov 1 – Jan 31. NJ has an extended Open Enrollment and a year-round income-based Special Enrollment Period—among the most generous in the country.
Pennsylvania (Pennie)
Nov 1 – Jan 15. Pennie follows the standard federal Open Enrollment schedule, with Special Enrollment Periods for qualifying life events.
Delaware (Healthcare.gov)
Nov 1 – Jan 15. Delaware uses the federal marketplace and follows the standard Open Enrollment, with SEPs for losing coverage, moving, or household changes.
Special Enrollment (SEP)
Year-round. Qualifying life events trigger a 60-day window: losing job-based coverage, marriage, divorce, a new baby, moving, or an income change affecting your subsidy.
